Ruby Powell is a self-taught artist who has been creating and selling paintings for over 20 years. She is currently represented at Panama Rose in Smithville, Texas, she’s the resident artist at Hilmy Cellars Winery in Fredericksburg and Crimson Salon in downtown Austin, Texas. In 2005, Ruby exhibited at Gotham City Lofts in New York, New York.

Ruby continues to exhibit and sell her paintings at numerous venues across Texas, including the Art for the People Gallery in downtown Austin, The Weil Gallery in Corpus Christi, and The Austin Studio Tour where she exhibited at The Commune (2022), Furman & Keil Architects (2023) and 2324 Studios in East Austin (2025).  Ruby was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and has lived in Central Texas for 25 years.  Her painting, “Beach Birds,” is a nod to her South Texas roots.
